People out west are so blessed that he does these shows. Enjoy them for us strangelets. Maybe someday David will come to Buffalo and play my backyard in the summer.
David was marvelous, it was about half the same set as his shows in August and half different songs. I didn't write a setlist because I couldn't find my damn pen which I brought for the sole reason of writing a setlist! He told some good stories about Allen Ginsburg and he kept hitching up his pants which were falling down because he lost weight. (did he ever need to lose weight? WTF?)
The tribute band Luv & Rockets was one of the support bands and they were not bad. They focused on the more acoustic songs last night, at David's request. I think "Motorcycle" and some of the other noisy songs might have clashed moods too much with David's set. I kept seeing "Fake David" wandering around the club all night and had to look twice to realize it wasn't "Real David". Fake Danny wears a wig onstage, LOL, so you wouldn't recognize him in the crowd without it. For the last song, Luv & Rockets joined David onstage so he could 'play with himself'.:rofl: And that should have been my headline: I watched David J play with himself!!!!!
The best part of the night though was running into Sandi in the bathroom, I didn't even know she was coming. She took some good pictures I hope she posts them.

That WAS an INCREDIBLE show! =) I sure wish that I could attend David J's b-day bash show TONIGHT, but I have to start looking for a new(er) car! Dang these responsibilities! ;P Oh, I did post some of those FAB pics on FB a while ago ...it's a SHAME that Jen & I didn't get a pics together though! <3 & >=>
